Joe received tickets to go to another Ranger Game last Sunday, thanks Coach Evans! Ben was in a baseball tournament that same evening so we split up to take in both events. Kevin took Joe and Will to the Ranger game with our friend, Mark Gorman, while I went to Ben's All-Star game with Caleb. The Ranger Game had lots of action with a 10 to 1 win over the Astros and the boys had a great time. Joe and Will also had fun trying some of the games like hitting the wiffle ball over the fence and launching a ball through the mascots glove. Joe has been doing really well since his last treatment on Friday with the exception of some bouts with nausea. As in the past, for several days after the double medicine treatment Joe has a reduced appetite and throws up a few times despite being on Zofran (an anti-neausea medicine). Joe seems to take the vomiting in stride these days. This sick feeling seems to be lingering a bit more this time around and may be due to receiving the full strength of Doxorubicin...the last time it was only 50 percent strength. We let Joe relax a little more, take naps, and set the pace for what he would like to do. He is in great spirits and we are thankful if this is the worst of his side effects right now. We take him into the clinic for a blood test on Friday and he does not have to go for chemotherapy for 2 more weeks...yea! Thank you for all of your continued prayers!
