We enjoyed a fun homeschool day with the Rodgers as we begin to study a course called "Exploring Creation with Astronomy". We created a balloon solar system to hang from the ceiling in an attempt to visualize the size of the different planets. We also created a solar system on the driveway with paper clips connecting the planets to the sun. This gave us all a great feel for how far apart the planets in the solar system are from one another...a few paper clips apart for the first few planets and up to 100 or more between some of the planets further away from the sun. The kids had a great time working together. Will also had a solar system model he enjoyed painting and it even glows in the dark.
