Happy 8th Birthday, Joe!

Joe woke up early today and very excited because it was his birthday. He helped make green pancakes for everyone and we all sang Happy Birthday. Ben, Will, and Caleb also got up early to make cards for Joe and they presented them to him after breakfast. Later, we went to our favorite ice cream place in Aledo called "Scoop Me". We all love it there and love their ice cream...you'll have to try some!

We are overjoyed to be able to celebrate Joe's 8th birthday with him at home and healthy...cancer free. God is amazing! He is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday to remove his port. This will be the final procedure he will need and he is extremely anxious to have it completed. He was a little disappointed that he couldn't get his port out before his birthday but I am just thankful it is time to remove it for good. It is a relief and wonderful feeling to be at the end of this journey.

Happy 8th Birthday, Joe! We love you very much and we are proud of you. Thanks for staying strong and for keeping your loving personality and sense of humor this past year. You have been a great example to us and many...Love, Mom and Dad
