There isn't much news to report today. Joe had another great night sleep last night, which also meant Mom and Dad got a great night sleep. He continues to get around a little better each day. It was probably nice that it rained all weekend so all our activities with the family were inside. Joe played lots of games and watched some shows with his brothers and friends. He is a little tired tonight. Tomorrow we will meet with the radiation oncologist for consultation on his treatment plan. Thanks again to everyone for all you have done and are doing to help us out. We will never be able to properly express our thanks but we feel so loved and blessed despite our circumstances. Thank you!

So glad to hear Joe continues to make progress. Praying complete healing for Joe and the peace of Jesus over you all. I will miss you this week but Trey has promised to keep me posted on your updates when I call each day. Love you!!
What a journey! Thankful for continued positive reports and praying for all of you!
Kevin and Liz,
I just heard about Joe this weekend, to know that he is going through this breaks my heart. He is such a wonderful boy! Joe and your family are in my thoughts and prayers through this time.
My family and I have experince with Cooks. Both of my newphews had to have bone marrow transplants at Cooks. My family loves this hospital and think the hematology and onocology drs are the best. My sister knows what you are going through and what lies ahead. Chemo, radation, central line, hair loss, side effects. etc. She has been there. The boys were infants when they had their transplants. Knowing that Joe is a big first grader he realizes what he is missing like his baseball game. Be sure and tell him he will be out there in no time. My mother works for Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation there at Cooks and serves donuts on MOnday and Pizza on Thurs on the H/O floor there at the hospitl if you ever run into her.
I want to send Joe something if it is ok, could you email me your address to make sure I have the right one. kellyfairman@sbcglobal.net
Having been Joe's Sunday school teacher for a year or so I know he is going to get through this. He seems to be a determined young man and always has a plan on how to do get the job done. I know he and God will get this done. Hang in there....Kelly Fairman

Wow... Liz, I just linked to your blog from FB and read it all. Oh my goodness, how quickly and unexpectedly your life took such a dramatic turn. If that doesn't make us all realize that we are not in control, I don't know what would. We are praying for your family, especially Joe. We are praying that his treatments will be successful and that the cancer will be gone from his body forever. Jesus is holding you all in His strong and loving arms, and He will carry you through this.
Great to see your mom in the picture - she hasn't changed a bit. Glad she's there for you.
