Wednesday, April 14 - Midnight Update
Joe just got out of bed and Kevin and I (along with the help of the nurse) helped him to walk to the restroom (a few feet away). He did it at his request with very minimal pain and discomfort. It was a big step for him and very exciting for us to see after the day he just had. He even got back into bed and wanted to be tucked in with some of the Webkinz he received today as gifts. He smiled for a picture I took with some of his new animals...I will try to post that sometime tomorrow. I was thrilled and wanted to get on and share this good news. Prayers are being answered!

That is great news! What a tough little guy!!! Tell him to keep it up because the nurses are absolutely right. The more he gets up and moves around the better off he will be. Still praying for you guys!

We are so proud of you Joe! We are praying for all of you to have the knowledge of the strength of the Lord to be with you. The more he does the better he will feel after surgery. I've had a lot of surgeries and it amazes me how fast we can begin healing.

Hey Turner family, we just found out about Joe last night. A lot has happened since Saturday but it sure looks like Joe has turned the corner and that is Great! All the Schairbaums are thinking and praying for you and your family.
WAY TO GO JOE!!!! So many prayers are being said every minute of every day!!! God is so good!!!
I was so excited to hear the news. Joe - its just like baseball.. one base a time... one small step at a time.
