Answers to Prayer!!!

Wonderful news to report...Joe's fever left him and we were able to have the colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) today as scheduled. The doctor located and removed a 2 cm by 2 cm polyp without any difficulties and took several biopsies of various tissues along the way. He described the mass as closely resembling a juvenile polyp that most typically is benign. The polyp and biopsies will be sent off to be tested and we will have definite results in 7 - 10 days. This is fantastic news as it does not appear to be related in any way to the previous Wilms' tumor Joe had on his kidney. Joe did a great job with all of his preparations for the procedure and the nurses said he woke up from the anesthesia with a big smile on his face. Mom and Dad also had big smiles on their faces when we talked to the doctor and got the wonderful news about the polyp. Joe was starving when we left the hospital so we stopped to get him something to eat and he is still talking about what he wants to eat next. He seems to be back to normal already and can resume full activities by tomorrow. What a huge relief! God is so faithful! Thank you once again for each and every prayer for Joe and our family.

Thank you Jesus!! I can't to tell you about how everyone at Pastor Nahum's church prayed for little Joe. I cry every time I think of it...wow! The presence of God was so thick as I stood hand in hand with my Haitian brothers and sisters and called on the name of Jesus for Joe's healing under the modest tin roof church in Gibert, Haiti. Together the languages of both English and Haitian Creole filled the Father's ears. Liz, I am so thankful to hear this good news. I love you guys!!
