Wednesday, April 28 - Another good day

Joe is still feeling good today so not much news to report. He did vomit one time this morning before we left for radiation treatment but has been doing well the remainder of the day. I think the cumulative effect of the chemotherapy may be making him a little sick but it wasn't too bad. He was still able to eat and drink small amounts and keep it down today. He has two radiation treatments left...it will be over on Friday! It will be nice to get over another hurdle and just focus on the chemotherapy. The chemo is only one time a week for 10 weeks instead of every day like the radiation is, then it will be every couple of weeks for a total of 25 weeks. Hopefully, this will allow Joe to get more rest and provide an opportunity for all of us to get back to a more regular schedule around the house. In addition to radiation tomorrow, Joe will also have chemotherapy. He will only receive one chemo medication instead of two like last week so we are hopeful that he won't get as sick - we will just have to wait and see. Please pray that Joe can keep liquids and food down after chemo these next few weeks.

You have our continued prayers! We refuse to accept the "normal" reactions people have from these treatments and are believing against any negative side effects for Joe. Nothing is impossible with God! Love you!!

Just finished reading your latest posts. Glad to hear that Joe is doing better!! I love the photo of Joe fishing - he has such a GREAT smile! We are keeping Joe in our prayers - especially today. Hopefully his body will handle the chemo treatment better this week. Stay strong!
