Boys of all ages love video games!
This morning I took the boys to get their hair cut. Since Joe will soon begin to lose his hair, I got it cut slightly shorter than I normally do for him...although he usually has pretty short hair anyway. We haven't noticed any hair loss yet but we are told it will happen and it is just a matter of when. Joe still doesn't seem bothered by that. However, yesterday Joe started asking some other questions. He said, "If this comes back in my other kidney will I die?" This just about broke my heart! I can tell he is starting to think about it a little more, maybe because he is feeling so much better and realizing that he can't do everything he wants to do. I am not sure but I do know God has a special plan for Joe and he will take care of him. God has great and mighty plans for Joe. We are confident that Joe will be part of the 85 percent cure rate and we will keep praying and believing that.
This afternoon Joe got to have some friends over to play. We are letting Joe be a little more active since it is way too hard to hold him back. He feels great but we still are trying very hard not to let him overdue it. Besides playing video games and playing the DS with his friends, he shot a few baskets and played ping pong. Joe and Ben also learned how to sync up their DS games...thanks Will and Sam Sisk! Tonight Daddy even let Joe catch a few baseballs ...which he really enjoyed. We are thrilled to see Joe light up as he gets to resume some normal activities.
