Sunday, May 16, 2010 - A quick update

Here is a quick update on Joe. He responded pretty well to the chemotherapy on Friday. He was a little tired yesterday, had a decrease in appetite, some pains in his ankles, and had a few times where he said he felt "a little funny". The good thing is that he never got sick and today he has had quite a bit of energy. He said he wasn't sure if he wanted to go watch his baseball team play today because he didn't want to get sick. We did end up going out to the field and were just going to stay in the car, but he quickly felt better and wanted to sit in the dugout with his team. He had a really enjoyable time seeing his buddies and running around with them. Joe is pretty tired tonight after the big day and possibly because he hasn't had a lot to eat. He is doing great considering all that he has gone through and maintains a good attitude. We always know when he is feeling good because he will flash one of his big bright smiles and give us lots of hugs. We are thankful God blessed us with this special boy...along with our 3 other very special boys!
