With Caleb getting sick it made us so much more conscious of keeping him away from Joe. We all used lots of hand sanitizer and tried to keep our germs to ourselves. Joe's blood counts are still very good, although they went down almost in half from the week before. We will get more results at his next visit tomorrow...hopefully this is not a trend for his counts to keep going down by so much each week. Otherwise, Joe is still feeling great, eating well, has lots of energy, and having a good time seeing friends and playing with them. He has chemotherapy tomorrow with the Vincristine and Doxorubicin. The Doxorubicin is new for Joe and may cause some nausea and vomiting. We pray that he will tolerate it well and the negative side effects will be minimal or non-existent.
It is amazing how God is using this blog for so many wonderful purposes. I intended it to be a quick way to update family and friends on Joe's progress and God had other blessings in mind for us. For example, I was in a store in Ridgmar Mall this week with all four boys and a lady asked me if we lived in Aledo. She did not know us but she recognized us and said she was following our blog and praying for Joe. It is humbling that people who do not even know us are willing to get down on their knees and pray for healing for my son. This is only one small example of those who are reaching out to Joe and our family. We covet your prayers the most and we are so thankful that his story can get out to others and that prayers are lifted up for him. Thank you, God is answering your prayers in great and mighty ways.
