It's been 6 weeks since Joe's surgery. He is healing extremely well from his operation. The surgeon recommends waiting 8 weeks to resume full activity but Joe is about to jump out of his skin. He has pretty much resumed full activity around the house horsing around with his brothers. It is hard to keep him still while 3 other boys are running, jumping, sliding and playing baseball upstairs in our house. He doesn't seem to be favoring his abdomen and let's us give him plenty of big bear hugs without flinching, so I know he is healing pretty well. We will try to wait 2 more weeks before he starts swinging a bat but we are allowing him to start catching and throwing the baseball. He is also shooting some baskets and testing his physical limits more and more every day. What else would an active 7 year old boy do, right? We are just happy he is healing and has the energy and drive to want to be active.


Joe has enjoyed being out at his team's games to see his friends and support them. Here are some cute pictures of him with his team, the Storm. If you didn't know, one of Joe's love languages is touch. Joe is quick to give a hug, grab a hand, lean on your shoulder or crawl into your lap. He never meets a stranger and engages everyone he sees in conversation.
