The remainder of our weekend was very uneventful and, thankfully, Joe is feeling much better. He is still a little tired but was able to get outside to enjoy some of the nice weather today. He is eating, not a whole lot, but he is eating. Kevin bribes him with Wii time for finishing a glass of milk, a bowl of cereal, a cookie or anything that halfway appeals to him. I wonder how long this loss of appetite will last? At least he is not nauseous and has been back to smiling a lot. I love seeing his contagious smile light up his face. I also love his little curls on the front of his head so I have been patting them a lot before he loses them. He is in good spirits and wanted to know when the next appointment is when they will access his port. He doesn't like needles but he is getting better dealing with them. The tape that holds the port needle on his skin seems to bother him more than the needle itself. Sometimes it takes quite awhile to let him peel the tape off instead of letting us pull it off a little quicker. He has still been a terrific patient and I have no complaints. I think this should be a good week for Joe until he gets his chemo on Friday. Thanks for the prayers.
